After a flurry of holiday sales at the close of last year, the tide began to shift for Cyberpunk 2077. Nobody forgets about the game’s horrible launch, but the several updates that have been published since then have made it a more reliable and enjoyable experience.

CD Projekt Red is expected to take advantage of this momentum, and supporters are well aware of how to do so. The PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of Cyberpunk 2077, as well as Patch 1.5, are due out early this year.

Cyberpunk 2077 Cover Leak

PlayStation Game Size is a Twitter account that specializes in digging through the PlayStation network backbone. They also research other technical components to uncover new information. For example, this is how the file size of Horizon Forbidden West was first announced.

Now, the account has delved into the PlayStation Network once again and discovered an alternate cover art for Cyberpunk 2077. According to PlayStation Game Size, the logical conclusion is that this is the cover art for the future PS5 version.

It’s also not a stretch to suppose that if a game icon’s cover art appears, Cyberpunk 2077’s full current-gen release isn’t far behind. It’s worth mentioning that both the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of Cyberpunk 2077 are expected to debut on the same day. This implies that this is true for both platforms.

Release Date & Patch 1.5

According to PlayStation Game Size, Cyberpunk 2077’s next-gen release might take place between mid-February and early March. It’ll be fascinating to see what comes of this, and many people are probably looking forward to the 1.5 Patch.
