Fresh speculations of a PS5-exclusive Final Fantasy game being unveiled next month at E3 2021 have surfaced over the last few days. Despite the fact that PlayStation already owns the exclusive rights to FF XVI, this campaign is said to be quite unique.
This latest Final Fantasy title will have Souls-like features, as per an insider known as Navtra. If you’re unfamiliar with the keyword, it basically means that the game will have some genetic code similar to Dark Souls and Bloodborne.
Navtra stated that while this FF project isn’t directly related to the subgenre, it does comprise aspects of it. It’s a difficult situation. It’s definitely influenced by Souls, but it isn’t necessarily what fans would expect from a Souls-like Final Fantasy.
Final Fantasy Leaks
It’s important to note that what Navtra is saying right now is merely speculation. Despite the fact that Square Enix is working on numerous FF titles, including FF XVI and FF VII Remake Part 2, we have yet to hear official announcements about this.
While you must take everything with a dose of skepticism, it’s fair to say that the insider at the base of these speculations has a long history of leaking similar information. Whenever there are Square Enix leaks in specific, Navtra has a decent reputation. They accurately revealed the timed exclusivity of FF XVI, along with few more other PS details.
If such Final Fantasy development is true, we will indeed know more about it in the coming months. With E3 2021 just around the corner, Square Enix is likely to reveal more details about its upcoming games.
