The PS5 will receive a fresh firmware update before the end of 2021, but a beta version is already accessible to some participants in numerous regions. Notably, PS5 will make adjustments to one of the dashboard’s most criticized features – the Trophy Tracker!

The Verge has detailed the latest UI factors arriving in the PlayStation 5, but one, in particular, has captured our attention. Since its release, trophy tracking has become a headache. It takes too many keystrokes from the dashboard to go over your complete trophy record!

New Trophy Tracker

Initially, trophies were displayed in a horizontal list that scrolled left to right, but now they can be viewed vertically, similar to how they were on the PlayStation 4. Users will be able to see more details about each trophy without having to constantly select it, thanks to this minor but greatly appreciated change.

Beta Update: New Features

PlayStation also revealed on their website that the upcoming PS5 beta update will include M.2 SSD support, which has been requested by consumers since the release of the console!

Interface PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 NVMe SSD

Cooling structure Using an M.2 SSD with your PlayStation 5 console requires effective heat dissipation with a cooling structure, such as a heatsink. You can attach one to your M.2 SSD yourself, either in a single-sided format, or double-sided format. There are also M.2 SSDs that have cooling structures (such as heatsinks) built-in.
