PS5: House of Ashes Could Be 30GB

New information has emerged on the House of Ashes, the upcoming third game in the Dark Pictures Anthology. With two months for the launch, it has been revealed that the file will take up around 30 GB of space on the console.

The information was revealed by the PlayStation Game Size twitter page which tracks files added to the PS database. It reported that the upcoming title will be taking up 30.015 GB. This is without any patches that the game might receive on the launch date, which is what has been happening with most games these days. The tweet also mentioned that pre-loading will begin on October 20th, just a couple of days before the release.

30 GB File Size

  • The size of the game can be expected to be similar on other platforms as well, such as on PC. However, the PS 5 will have a lighter final size than other platforms due to its decompression of the game. The previous installation in the series, The Dark Pictures; Little Hope was 33 GB on the last-gen consoles but went up to 80 GB on PC platform.
  • We will have to see what the new installation holds for PC fans of the Dark Pictures Anthology. However, for PS owners, the relatively moderate size of the game should make it an easy deal for players to quickly download the title and get immersed in the game.

The new title will feature the end of the Iraq war in 2003, where special forces will discover a Sumerian temple, where all kinds of ancient dangers and mysteries reside, including Pazuzu, the underground demon. The title is set to arrive on PC, PS 4, PS 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on the 22nd of October, 2021.
