In a surprising announcement, Player Unknown Battlegrounds Mobile will be collaborating with Hirugashi When They Cry, a popular anime series. This was a very unexpected move, with many fans wondering if this was a real announcement!

The announcement came from the official Japanese account of PUBG and from the Funimation blog. The voice cards for Ryugu Rena, Keiichi Maebara, and Satoko Hojo from Higarushi will be available in PUBG from the 30th of September to the 14th of October. Amazon gift card giveaways and a number of Twitter-related campaigns will also be held in October as well.

Autographs from the voice actors of Mai Nakhara, Soichiro, and Mika Kanai can be obtained by visiting the Japanese PUBG Twitter account up till the 7th of October. Players who retweet particular tweets of the Japanese PUBG Mobile account will be entered to contest for Amazon gift cards that will be worth 5000 yen. This contest ends on the 11th of October.
Players in Japan can log in at any time from the 30th of September to the 28th of October to receive a voice card sample from the show and a Traveler Ticket which can be used to open rewards crates to obtain the crossover items. Traveler Tickets can also be earned with melee kills up till the 14th of October. Check out the announcement trailer below.
