Ton On Debut
After the fabulous win in the Under-19 World Cup under his belt, India skipper Yash Dhull scored a century on his First-Class debut. Playing his first Ranji Trophy match, Dhull came out to bat for Delhi and recorded a century just after lunch on Day 1 against Tamil Nadu at the ACA Stadium in Baraspara on Thursday.
Tamil Nadu won the toss and opted to bowl first. Sandeep Warrier reduced to Delhi to 7/2. Delhi was in great trouble. Thereafter Dhull and Nitish stitched a 60-run partnership. M Mohammed broke the partnership but Dhull continues to cream runs.
He reached his half-century off just 57 balls and was joined by Jonty Sidhu as both took the innings forward.
Tamil Nadu almost prevented Dhull from getting to a century. But Dull is the very lucky guy. Since this year is awesome for him, he got out on 97 but it was a no-ball. Dhull scored a fabulous ton in his debut. Unfortunately, he got out at 113 by pacer M Mohammed.
Dhull has joined a prestigious list of Indian players to have registered a century on Ranji Trophy’s debut. It comprises legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Amol Mujumdar, Rohit Sharma, and several other legends. Yash Dhull going to be the upcoming star of Indian cricket. He is also brought by the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022 worth INR 50L.
