Reacher finished season 1 with a bang and made the viewers extremely entertained. With an IMDB score of 8.2/10 and an impressive 90% from Rotten Tomatoes, it is not surprising that Reacher’s season 2 and 3 is already in the works.

The Amazon Prime original series is based on the novel by Lee Child of the same name. The show was commended because of Alan Ritchson’s fantastic portrayal of Jack Reacher. Also, Willa Fitzgerald (Roscoe) and Malcolm Goodwin (Finlay) were phenomenal in that series.

Back in February, Alan Ritchson confirmed on Instagram that Reacher is getting a second season. With Amazon greenlighting the series due to its hype, fans were feeling ecstatic about the announcement.

Release Date

Reacher’s 2nd and 3rd seasons were reportedly filmed back-to-back. Amazon wanted to occupy Alan Ritchson as much as possible since the star is already in high demand. Hopefully, we get to see the next two seasons hit television early next year, 2023. Since both seasons are filmed back-to-back, we also expect it to be shown continuously, hopefully.

Jack Reacher completed his task in Margrave and left the town at peace. But, in the final episode, we see Reacher walking away and hitchhiking. Where is he supposed to go next?

With that concluding episode, it’s safe to say none of the 1st season’s cast is coming back to the 2nd season. Except maybe for Roscoe (Willa Fitzgerald), who is Reacher’s love interest; and Neagley (Maria Sten), who happens to be Reacher’s only friend before Roscoe and Finlay.

Lee Child teased us about the upcoming sequels with it being either “chronologically” or “unchronologically” placed. That just means, if you read the books, you’re probably going to know what Reacher will do next.

Overall, there are no further details shared yet as the script is still being written by Lee Child and Nick Santora. Further, Amazon and the writers promised that the next seasons will be better than the first one, so keep an eye out!
