Hades is one of the most powerful gods in the Record of Ragnarok. He is the King of the Underworld and is said to be the second strongest god after Zeus. Hades’ power level is at least Planet level which means that he is capable of destroying an entire planet.
He is respected and feared God among the Greek Pantheon, as seen when Ares immediately gives up his seat to him at his order and when all the Gods stood at attention upon him entering the arena.
Although Poseidon’s death was the motivation for him to participate in the Ragnarok tournament, he didn’t become blinded by rage and hatred; instead, he remained level-headed and kept his composure from the beginning of his match.
How strong is Hades in Record of Ragnarok?
Let’s analyze how strong Hades can be by breaking down his powers, abilities, and the weaponry at his disposal-
Strengths and abilities
1. Godly Strength: Although not as fast as his brothers, Hades makes up for it by being able to unleash a flurry of multiple heavy jabs with his bident that are so strong, it’s implied Qin Shi Huang would’ve died instantly if they’d landed on him.
2. Godly Speed & Reflexes: When Qin Shi Huang’s Tortoise Ripple touched the blood on top of his skin, Hades managed to move and shifted the crux of his Qi before the attack could go through the blood completely. His bident techniques are so fast, that they can even create afterimages.
3. Godly Stamina & Endurance: He single-handedly wiped out all the Titans that broke free from Tartarus in the Gigantomachy. In his fight with Qin Shi Huang, Hades received many of his own attacks turned back on him, a large portion of his left arm’s skin was ripped off and his side was gouged out, yet he remained unfazed.
4. Indomitable Will: Hades has displayed immense willpower. He is regarded as the most reliable God in Heaven, always putting his brothers’ well-being over his own safety. He never once showed any signs of fear, even when facing an entire army of Titans by himself.

5. Keen Intellect: Hades is an extremely intelligent individual. During his fight with Qin Shi Huang, Hades was able to quickly notice the Chinese Emperor’s ability to disrupt Qi flow and he was also able to come up with a counter for this ability by covering himself with his own blood to be able to see his attack.
Weapons used by Hades
1. Bident: Hades’ personal weapon that consists of two twisted silver prongs, a dark purple-bluish polearm, and a silver rounded tip on the other end. Before the seventh round, Hades fused the remains of Poseidon’s trident with his bident so he could fight alongside his fallen brother. After doing that, the bident gained a fin-like protrusion.
2. Ichor: Desmos (Four-Blooded Spear of Destiny): This is Hades’ trump card. By infusing Pluto Ichor of his blood into his bident, Hades upgrades his weapon into Ichor: Desmos, which consists of two sharp prongs with a long blade running through the middle and they all converge into a bloodstained tip. While this version of the bident is powerful, since Pluto Ichor contains Hades’ life force, if it were to run out, it would result in his death.
In conclusion, the King of the Underworld, Hades, wields his bident with the strength of a thousand men. His strikes are like the thunder of Zeus, and his presence is as dark and foreboding as the depths of Tartarus.
