Not many developers or publishers thank their fans for the support and love they accrue. Fans are the people that determine a game’s success, failure, uprise and downfall. And today we have the story of Chris Darril, Author & Creative Director of the Remothered Trilogy.

Remothered is a horror saga that revolves around 35-year old Rosemary Reed, who goes to investigate the house of a retired notary, Dr. Felton. We already covered quite a few things about the game series and it’s first chapter Remothered: Tormented Fathers in a previous article.

The game is just a week away from its release, and Chris Darril, the author of the Remothered series has a great story to narrate. While looking through my press mail, I found a mail with the subject “I need your help” from Chris, and here’s everything it said –

I’m Chris Darril, author and creative director of Remothered. I’m writing this email to you because I need your help.

In 2007 I was just a 18-year-old college student. Like every boy that age, I had a dream. Mine was to give birth to a deeply psychological horror story. Over the last 10 years, that dream turned into the survival horror videogame trilogy called Remothered.

Looking back in time, you can see that the evolution of the project has been impressive. I was seeing the very first drafts the other day… Remothered moved its first baby steps in the shape of something that you’d call a graphic novel – and a very amateurish one!

Look at it now… It’s a complex and ambitious videogame trilogy characterized by cinematic atmosphere.

10 years have passed. And, in 10 days, the first title of the franchise will be available to the public with the early access version.

But you know what makes me so proud about this?

What means the most to me is your support.

The fact alone that you’re reading this message means a lot to me. I feel like we’re sharing the same dream. And, believe me, this is the best achievement I could ever ask for.

You’ve decided to follow the project before the actual release and this is very important to me. You are believing in Remothered. We’re in this together and I know can rely on you.

October 31st will be a very special day. My dream – our dream! – will finally come true.

Coming October 31st

Ok, right now we cannot compare Remothered to the most popular survival horror franchises. But we’ve come a long way! 10 years ago Remothered was just an homemade project created by a teenager.

Deep in my heart, I know that 18-year-old boy would be proud of what we’ve done together. And, most importantly, he would tell me to keep dreaming to reach the next goal.

What’s my new dream? In the future, I want the trilogy to be remembered as one of the most important titles for the genre. It may sound too much right now, but I know that together we can do it.

Rest assured, together with everyone at Darril Arts and Stormind Games, I’m working hard to make the game every bit as good as the most known survival horror masterpieces.

But I need your help. In 10 days the early access version of the game will come out. This is the best way to involve you in the development.

Disappeared out of the blue during the fall of 1971, Celeste and her story became a news topic for the following two years. Celeste’s disappearance under obscure circumstances hides something more complex behind it. Her peculiar “nickname” Jennifer is arguably the most useful hint to solve the mystery.

There’s something you can do to help me fulfill this dream: getting “Remothered: Tormented Fathers” on October 31st. Why? Because I want you to be the first to try the game. I strongly believe that Remothered can become a benchmark for gamers around the world… But this can happen only with your support.

Will you join me?

I won’t take “no” for an answer 🙂

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Chris Darril

It feels great as a gamer to hear such words from developers themselves. Let us know what you think about the email in the comments below. The first episode of the Remothered trilogy is coming on October 31 for PC and PS4. Do support the creators by buying the game, and just searching for its torrent or Skidrow versions. Cheers!
