The second season of Loki might be over but people still couldn’t help wondering about some key characters in the series, including Ravonna Renslayer. In a pivotal scene from the finale, Marvel Cinematic Universe fans received significant updates on two key characters: Renslayer and Alioth. But what exactly happened to the TVA judge, and did Glorious Purpose just confirm that her story is far from over?
There is little doubt that Loki Season 2 Episode 6 was all about the God of Mischief’s journey. But while the episode primarily focused on Loki’s journey and the resolution of the Sacred Timeline’s issues, it provided an opportunity for supporting characters like Renslayer to make their presence felt, as the MCU continued its exploration of multiversal adventures. In Glorious Purpose, all the main characters got a conclusion of sort, even Renslayer, who ended up in the Void after what happened in Episode 4.
Loki Season 2 Episode 6 Drops Brief Update on Renslayer
Gugu Mbatha-Raw‘s character Judge Ravonna Renslayer had only one scene in the Loki Season 2 finale, but it carried substantial weight. In this scene, she appeared to be transported to the Void, a location last seen in Episode 5 of the first season.

As she sat on the ground, Renslayer was bathed in a brilliant purple light, signaling the return of Alioth, the formidable floating cloud monster that inhabited the Void.
This marked the first appearance of Alioth since the first season of Loki during which Loki and Sylvie overcame the creature by using their powers to unveil the Citadel at the End of Time.
The finale hinted at Renslayer’s further involvement in the narrative, as she and Miss Minutes were seen attempting to take control of the TVA after Victor Timely’s betrayal.
Will Renslayer Make her MCU Return in Loki Season 3?
Given her past association with Kang the Conqueror and the memory-wipe she underwent at the hands of He Who Remains, Renslayer’s character arc appears far from complete. Her involvement with Kang, possibly following her comic book storyline as one of his love interests and allies in his quest for power, adds intriguing layers to her character.
Ravonna’s earlier collaboration with a Kang Variant, as revealed in the season, leaves fans speculating about her future role, especially since Jonathan Majors, the actor who portrays Kang, is facing legal issues. Nevertheless, the MCU’s vast storytelling potential and Loki producer Kevin Wright’s assurance of “many, many, many more stories” with Loki hint at the possible return of Renslayer and Alioth to the spotlight in upcoming seasons.
For now, Loki has not yet been renewed for a third season. In the meantime, all episodes from the first two seasons are available for streaming on Disney+.
