On 7th October, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City dropped its first trailer. This is an adaptation of the famous horror video game series. This adaption is from the zombie sub-genre. Looking at the trailer, one can safely assume that it will be different from the other Milla Jovovich movies. Earlier this year in March, Johanne Roberts, who is the director, previewed his flesh-eating project and had said explaining that,

“It’s an ensemble piece, and ‘Raccoon City’ plays a big part and is a character in the movie. It’s about this group of people all coming from different angles – some coming into town, some already having grown up in this town – meeting over this one fateful night. Not like I was presented something where we’re remaking it. We’re not.”

“I fell in love with Milla Jovovich in the first films; I love that side of the Resident Evil world. But it was a real pleasure to be given the reins to a new franchise. Hopefully, that is its own thing. I had never seen the terror and the atmosphere of the games. I’d never felt that on-screen, and I felt that was something I wanted to tell.”

The teaser of the same gives us just a few bits and pieces showing us a woman shutting a window, a zombie dog, and a terrifying haunted look loomed large on Lisa Trevor (Marins Mazepa). This was enough to leave fans wanting to know more when the trailer would drop; informing them of what was coming next.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City hits the theatres on 24th November. Writer and director, Johannes Roberts, takes the captain seat. The movie features Kaya Scodelario (Claire Redfield), Robbie Amell (Chris Redfield), Avan Jogia (Leon S. Kennedy), Hannah John-Kamen (Jill Valentine), Tom Hopper (Albert Wesker), Lily Gao (Ada Wong), and Donal Logue (Chief Brian Irons).
