After the 2.6 update for Genshin Impact went live yesterday, more leaks about 2.7 content have surfaced. On the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, travelers are talking about the new 5* Hydro character, Yelan. The leak about Yelan’s kit indicates that she is perfect Hydro support for your teams.

Yelan is a 5* Hydro support with some ER issues

A post from the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit revealed more information about Yelan’s kit. Reddit user aretete translated a leak from renowned Chinese leakers, NGA. According to them, here’s what Yelan’s kit is looking like at the moment:

  • She applies Hydro effects on enemies even while she’s off-field

  • Yelan has ‘low personal damage’

  • She needs HP substats

  • Moreover, she feels a bit uncomfortable to play

  • Yelan at C0 requires high ER but if you get her to C1, you should have no more issues

  • Some constellations of Yelan can let her recharge energy for the team

Yelan may be the next 5* character after Kamisato Ayato

Following Kamisato Ayato’s launch this week, it’s not impossible for Yelan to be the newest 5* character in Genshin Impact. So after Ayato and Venti’s banners end in 20 days, Phase 2 of version 2.6 will feature Ayaka having her own banner. Leakers speculate that Yelan and Kuki Shinobu, a new 4* Electro character are dropping sometime in the 2.7 update.

Additionally, more leaks speculate that reruns from Yoimiya and Arataki Itto will go live along with Yelan’s banner. If that’s the case, it would seem only fitting given that both Yoimiya and Itto are great DPS units.

And as always, please take this information with a grain of salt as HoYoverse may adjust Yelan’s kit in the coming weeks leading up to her launch.
