GTA 6’s release could be in the year 2024, according to a new rumor. Rockstar Mag creator Chris Klippel says that Rockstar Games has reached a major milestone in the game’s development.
Rockstar Mag is a French fan website covering everything, you’re right, Rockstar and its games. Chris Klippel, on the other hand, has a decent reputation in terms of leaks about GTA games. Regardless, this is a rumor, and not an official announcement from Rockstar. So, take it with a grain of salt.

“An important step in the development of #GTA6 has just been reached,” Chris wrote in a tweet. “Things should speed up (internally at Rockstar). I think that a (real) announcement at the end of the year may be possible. In any case, I don’t see the game arriving before the end of 2024! 😊”
Another rumor claims that GTA 6 could have around 500+ hours of gameplay content, which, if turns out to be true, could be an insane experience. Both for long-time fans and new players.

Earlier this year, analysts at Jefferies, a NY firm said that they believe at least one Rockstar IP could be released by FY24, i.e., April 2023 to March 2024. Tracking Rockstar’s release schedule for mainline GTA games, however, we know they love releasing games during the Fall season. So, it won’t be a surprise to see GTA 6 having a release date during the same. Even their latest, Red Dead Redemption 2 came out in October.
