There have been a lot of rumors going around about the GTA remastered trilogy. These stated that updated versions for GTA: San Andreas, GTA: Vice City, and GTA 3 were being worked on, and recently got a new spark when a Korean rating board displayed GTA Remastered Trilogy titles. Now, more information has been released, adding fuel to the rumors and concretizing them.

Data miners have noticed that an update patch for the Rockstar Launcher contains references to all three games and that too, an Unreal Engine version of the games! Ben or @videotech of RockstarIntel noticed the new data, which mention the titles, Grand Theft Auto III- Unreal, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – Unreal, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – Unreal.

GTA Remastered Trilogy

  • While Rockstar remains silent on the topic, this may just be a breakthrough about the status of the Remastered Trilogy.
  • According to rumors, the new versions will contain a mix of old and new graphics; that the release might be scheduled for some time this November.
  • Reports also say that Rockstar plans to release the collection for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PS 4, PS 5, Stadia, and mobile platforms.

It is very possible that Rockstar is not going to say anything about the Remastered Trilogy. After all, they love to surprise the fans. Since there have not been any new releases in the GTA series, they might just want this to be a surprise. Anyhow, there has been much hype around the topic already. So we can just hope that we will be able to get our hands on the remastered versions very soon.
