Rumor: The Last of Us Part II to Release in February 2020 with 4 Editions

The upcoming sequel to the critically acclaimed multiple-GOTY-winner The Last of Us, is one of the most anticipated games on Sony’s console. And it could be arriving sooner than you expected.

According to a leak from an administrator over ResetEra, the game is supposed to launch in February 2020. Also it’ll have not two, not three, but four different editions available, yes four. Namely:

  • Standard Edition
  • Special Edition
  • Collector’s Edition
  • and most interestingly, an Ellie Edition

Having a Collector’s Edition available for a highly anticipated game is pretty common nowadays, but TLoU 2 also seems to have an “Ellie Edition”. Really makes you wonder what this version could contain other than the typical artbook, posters and season pass.

Although this could just be another rumor, what makes this believable is that this is coming from the same person who previously revealed the release date for another long-awaited exclusive, Death Stranding.

And this is coming after numerous other leaks and rumors like Jason Schreier suggesting the same back in May, and even the voice actor Ashley Johnson almost slipping the same date in an interview last month.

With all these exciting games like Cyberpunk 2077, Dying Light 2, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, Watch Dogs: Legion, Marvel’s Avengers releasing early next year, 2020 is seeming like a great year for gamers.
