Henry Cavill and Aaron Taylor Johnson

Following the news that a new actor will be portraying the charismatic and handsome secret agent James Bond, people are already nominating two British actors to play the part – Henry Cavill and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. With two icons having the best time in their careers, one could say that either Cavill or Taylor-Johnson could be perfect to be the next Agent 007. However, the franchise must only pick one. Who should the showrunners choose, is it going to be Henry Cavill or will it be Aaron Taylor-Johnson?

Daniel Craig has already left the character in peace after James Bond died in the 2021 movie “No Time to Die”. Although the producers, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, have not made any official casting yet, fans of the franchise have already made up their minds. However, although Broccoli believes that a younger version in a reboot may work, it’s still difficult to project the idea.

“We’ve tried looking at younger people in the past. But trying to visualize it doesn’t work,” he began. “Remember, Bond’s already a veteran. He’s had some experience. He’s a person who has been through the wars, so to speak. He’s probably been in the SAS or something. He isn’t some kid out of high school that you can bring in and start off. That’s why it works for a thirty-something.”

Henry Cavill: From Superman to Geralt of Rivia to the suave and sophisticated James Bond?

British actor Henry Cavill has a long list of roles that supports his case as the next James Bond. Not to mention, he’s got the looks! Just by looking at his physique and that oh-so-incredible jawline, he’s already physically the perfect guy for the role.

Cavill, who famously played Superman in DCEU and Geralt of Rivia for Netflix’s The Witcher series is not new to hardcore and intense action movies. In 2018, he played a spy in Mission Impossible: Fallout which proves how emphatic he is as an action star. Moreover, he was great in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. as the international spy, Napoleon Solo.

Almost everybody is rooting for Cavill to become Agent 007 in future films of the franchise. In the UK, the odds that he will land the role are extremely high compared to other actors. With him hanging the Superman cape and leaving monster hunting in The Witcher, the beloved actor has got a lot of time on his hands. As of now, Henry Cavill is working with Amazon on a new Warhammer 40,000 series.

Back in 2006, Henry Cavill auditioned to play James Bond in Casino Royale. But, he lost the role to Daniel Craig

17 years ago, before he donned the Superman suit, Cavill went and auditioned for the casting of James Bond in the 2006 film Casino Royale. According to him, he was very close to being cast but lost it to Daniel Craig, who played the part for a decade and a half. He was then a 23-year-old young actor but the producers leaned towards a more mature man, the 38-year-old Craig. Now, is it time for the producers of the franchise to reconsider Henry Cavill?

Aaron Taylor-Johnson: 007 with the license to kill

The top secret agent has a very complex personality. He’s got a license to kill and a thirst for adventure, and he’s never one to shy away from danger. Whether he’s jetting off to exotic locations, battling supervillains, or seducing beautiful women, James Bond is always in his element. Someone like Aaron Taylor-Johnson could become the perfect fit.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson rose to fame after starring in the 2010 superhero flic, Kick-Ass. His first major role got him to the bigger gates of Hollywood. Eventually, he landed the role of Pietro Maxiemoff (Quicksilver) in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Looking at his resume, he still does not have enough accolades to match his competition such as Henry Cavill. But, in his latest action film, Netflix’s Bullet Train, Aaron was stellar with his suave personality and charming vibe.

The British actor is already in the conversation to become the 7th actor to play James Bond. He is even voted in the top 10. In addition, he’s had an interview with the executive producer Barbara Broccoli. The discussion was reportedly going well, and if the showrunners believe Aaron is the guy, we could see him take on the mantle of the womanizing secret agent.
