Sony PS5 Shipped Over 19 Million

Sony’s PS5 has shipped over 19 Million units till now. According to Sony, the company has sold about 19.3 million units of the PS5 console till now. Even after selling these many consoles, Sony says that they missed the sales targets for the console’s second fiscal year.

Reports suggest that the console’s sales are almost behind by around 3.3 million units. Meanwhile, the last generation’s PlayStation 4 has been selling quite nicely as well. Sony has reported that the last-gen console has now shipped 117.2 million units to date.

This is still a very impressive number as stores that carry the console receive irregular restocks and they end up selling out quickly. This is a problem that has affected both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, all because of the ongoing chip shortage which is causing delays in manufacturing.
