Sony’s veteran devices, the PS3 and PS Vita start to drop a few key features over time. A few video games, like Little Big Planet 3 and Metal Gear Solid V, have already shut down their servers, and others, including Grand Theft Auto V, will do so by the end of the year. Despite the fact that Sony reversed its proposal to restrict the purchase of digital games in the PS Store on both gaming systems, it appears that the company will restrict the methods by which patrons can pay, a move that will hinder credit card, debit cards, and PayPal payments starting this month.
How To Purchase
- Players of the PS3 and Vita will no longer be able to purchase digital content or replenish their virtual wallets from the PS Store from their gaming systems as of October 27, according to VGC.
- Users must use their PCs, a mobile phone, a PS4, or a PS5 to purchase the various features of both consoles’ stores, such as video games, films, backgrounds, avatars, or expansions.
- Gift Cards, Product Vouchers, and PS Store Subscription Vouchers, on the other hand, will function normally.
“To buy digital content for your PS3 console or PS Vita system, you must first add sufficient funds to your wallet on PlayStation Store. You can add funds by redeeming a PlayStation Store gift card, or using a credit or debit card, PayPal, or other available payment methods via a desktop computer, mobile device, PS4 console or PS5 console.”
