Spider-Man Joins Marvel’s Avengers on November 30

The vast world of Marvel spans all ways of entertainment, be it comics, animation, live-action TV, movies, or games. It seems to dominate the superhero genre everywhere and the same is the case with video games. Marvel’s Spiderman series is one of the most successful and highly rated video games by Sony PlayStation Studio.

Square Enix’ Marvel’s Avengers, on the other hand, didn’t receive a very warm welcome as it features average ratings and moderate reviews. It was one of the most anticipated games of 2020 but didn’t quite hit all the right notes. Its War for Wakanda expansion also opened up to moderate reviews but was considered to be better than the main game. After King T’Challa, it’s now our beloved Spider-Man’s time to shine in the game.

The Announcement

Square Enix took to the game’s Twitter page to announce a ‘slew of content’ which will drop at the end of this month. This content pack also includes your favorite web-slinger who is all set to arrive in the game on November 30.

“Mark those calendars! A slew of content and reworks is all dropping on November 30! Klaw Raid: Discordant Sound, Gear Upgrade and Resources Reworks, Earned Cosmetics, Spider-Man Hero Event for PS4 and PS5, and more!”, tweeted @PlayAvengers.

The update will also introduce the game’s first raid called Discordant Sound. This first-of-a-kind raid will feature the sonic villain named Klaw. But the most significant addition is obviously the arrival of Spider-Man as it was highly anticipated ever since it was announced.

Spidey in the House

Marvel's Spider-Man

As announced last year, Spider-Man will be exclusive to PlayStation owners of the game. On the said date, Spidey will arrive as a playable character in a Great Power Hero Event. You can experience Spider-Man’s part of the story throughout the Avengers Initiative. It will also feature unique unlockable challenges.

The plot of the event will begin with Peter Parker uncovering AIM’s new plan to acquire a destructive technology. This could make their Synthroid army unstoppable and total domination will seem inevitable. To stop them, he must partner with some of the Avengers like Ms. Marvel and Black Widow. He also has to make sure that his identity remains hidden.

“As a Hero accustomed to working solo, he struggles with the new dynamics of working with a team. Will he join up full time with the Avengers or stay independent in his fight against AIM?”, read the blog post from the devs. The update is hardly a month away, so it’s time to get hyped for more Spider-Man action!
