The third duo to be established in a Spider-Man tale is Tom Holland and Zendaya, who has just starred in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actors played Peter Parker and MJ. Last summer, some photographs confirming their romantic relationship surfaced.

According to The New York Times, Sony Pictures producer Amy Pascal talked with Zendaya and Holland to persuade them not to date.

“I took Tom and Zendaya aside, separately, when we first cast them and gave them a lecture. Don’t go there — just don’t. Try not to.
I gave the same advice to Andrew and Emma. It can just complicate things, you know? And they all ignored me.”

  • In Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, the same thing transpired with Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst.
  • It happened again with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in The Amazing Spiderman.

On social media, photos of Holland and Zendaya kissing inside a vehicle created quite a commotion.

“One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world.
I’ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private because I share so much of my life with the world anyway … we sort of felt robbed of our privacy.”

Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, recently stated that the studio is already developing on Spider-Man 4 with Sony Pictures. Therefore,  Marvel Cinematic Universe fans will be able to witness Holland and Zendaya on the big screen once more.
