Electronic Arts has a new Star Wars game in works, at least as per rumors. A datamine of European PSN has revealed the new Star Wars game, Project Maverick. This was revealed by Twitter account PSN releases. The account is run by a bot that monitors Sony’s PlayStation Network for new game releases.
Entitled “Maverick” the artwork in the data mine reveals that it is a new Star Wars game. The artwork features an Imperial Star Destroyer and a few X-Wing starfighters. This hints towards the fact that the project would take place in the original Star Wars trilogy era.
It has been earlier reported that EA is working on two Star Wars Projects. One of them is the sequel to Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. The other one is a “smaller, more unusual project at EA Motive.” Whether this turns out to be true remains to be seen.
