Streets Of Rage 4: Sega’s Iconic Arcade Brawler Series Returns

Streets of Rage 4

Sega’s iconic arcade brawler series from the 90s, Streets of Rage, has returned with a new instalment – Streets of Rage 4.

Developed by Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games in association with publisher Dotemu, the classic series will continue with a fourth game. Streets of Rage 4 will feature hand-drawn visuals from the team behind 2017’s gorgeous Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap remake, the classic trilogy’s gameplay with new mechanics, a fresh story and a gauntlet of dangerous stages with a serious crime problem.

Both solo and multiplayer modes will be available. A new trailer was also published earlier today which features protagonists Axel Stone and Blaze Fielding, excited to return to its old-school fans.

The first three Streets of Rage games were released on the Genesis and did fairly well in the market. However, the series was soon discontinued with the decreasing popularity of the 2D genre. Surprisingly enough, Streets of Rage 4 is here to take the trilogy one step ahead.

Despite all the facts, we’re still in the dark, as to on which platforms Streets of Rage 4 will arrive and an official release date.
