Are you ready for another round of adventure, laughter, and tears? Let’s take a peek!

The Cartoon News Network on Twitter confirmed the seventh season would not spin off the series as a sequel but rather add to it as a new season of the show. Due to this, fans can expect to continue the journey ahead with original characters and new adventures.

The Amazing World of Gumball Season 7 – Teaser unveiled

According to recent reports, the makers of the Cartoon Network‘s show The Amazing World of Gumball unveiled a teaser for Season 7 at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and Market. Last year, the series creator and director Ben Bocquelet and Mic Graves also spoke about the making of the series with exclusive content and announced a Gumball movie on June 15 at Salle Pierre Lamy.

  • While attending, Bocquelet tried to unveil as much as he could about the movie, but it wasn’t substantial. He flipped open the script’s first page on the screen with nearly all its words blocked or rejected. According to Variety, he also revealed a heavily pixelated style guide, making it hard to comprehend what to expect from the film.
  • Regardlessly, the fans expected further news of the movie but only had word from the director to go by that the movie would be a surprising take on the classic TV show and feature new animation techniques expanding The Gumball universe. Due to this, the news of the Season 7 came as a surprise to the fans, who were expecting important details about The Gumball movie.

There isn’t much update for audiences regarding when the teaser will release to the public or the season’s expected release date. However, Season 7 will release before the much-awaited movie and further expand the universe of the classic The Amazing World of Gumball show. Fans can expect to divulge into the world of Gumball sometime next year.

The Amazing World of Gumball Season 6 – Recap

Season 6 of The Amazing World of Gumball was released on January 5, 2018, through Cartoon Network in the United States. The series focused on the adventures of Gumball Watterson, a 12-year-old blue cat, and his adopted brother Darwin, a goldfish.

The season had 44 episodes, crowning it the longest of the series. The last episode, The Inquisition, was released on June 24, 2019 (September 12, 2019, in the UK) and depicted Gumball and Darwin’s struggle to save everyone from turning into live-action like School Superintendent Evil after he banished all cartoonish behaviors from school.

  • While Gumball and Darwin fight to rescue everyone and turn them back to normal, they discover that Superintendent Evil is actually Rob in disguise, who attempts to warn everyone about an unspecified event and justify his actions, but Tina knocks him out.

  • Later, Rob wakes up at the school in the middle of the night when the Void opens beneath him and swallows everything, including the school, ending the season on a cliffhanger. Season 7 of The Amazing World of Gumball will probably answer the questions from Season 6’s cliffhanger and further develop the universe with new adventures.
