The Kingsman franchise directed by Taron Egerton is known for its hilarious, colorful yet gory vibe which is loved by the audiences worldwide. The third instalment in the series, The King’s Man starring Ralph Feinnes released today and seems to be getting some love by the audiences. The King’s Man serves as a prequel in the franchise and deals with the origin of The Secret Service. But what we have for you today is some exciting news about the future of the franchise i.e. Kingsman 3.
Colin Firth and Taron Egerton Will Return
In an interview with Etimes, Matthew Vaughn stated that Colin Firth and Taron Egerton will return for Kingsman: The Blue Blood. It is going to be the fourth installment in the franchise and the 3rd in the main saga. The main saga stars Taron Egerton as Eggsy in the lead role along with Colin Firth’s Harry. Harry is somewhat of a father figure for Eggsy and the sequel will possibly conclude their relationship.
“We are making another King’s Man with Colin and Taron next year. The next ‘Kingsman’ – three or fourth, depending on how technical you want to be – is about the conclusion of the Eggsy and Harry relationship,” he stated.
As you might be aware, Harry was killed off in the first film and then resurrected in the next one. So, it has been a roller coaster of emotions for Eggsy and it would be interesting to see how Eggsy and Harry’s bond strengthens in the next film. It is really hard to imagine a Kingsman sequel without them, so their return is nothing unexpected.
Will There Be a Sequel to The King’s Man (2022)
The answer to this is yes! Vaughn has made it pretty clear that as long as fans enjoy his films, he’ll keep executing his plans. So, yes there is a sequel planned for this prequel as well which will continue the historical aspect of the secret service. Apart from that, a Kingsman 4 or let’s say the 4th film in the main saga has also been planned.
“I hope there is no last ‘Kingsman’. We have got a sequel to this one (The King’s Man) planned. Then we have a ‘Kingsman’ 5 planned that will be after 4, it is called ‘The Blue Blood’. It is all up to everyone out there, if they keep watching it, we will make more. If they give us a thumbs down, we’re in trouble,” Vaughn said in the interview with Etimes.
So, it seems like the fans of this franchise are all set to have a great time in the near future and as long as there are fans, it’ll keep on going. The King’s Man starring Ralph Fiennes, Harris Dickinson, Tom Hollander, Daniel Bruhl, and Gemma Arterton is now playin gin theatres.
