Naughty Dog is known for its insane attention-to-detail in games, at least in the recent games. The Last of Us and Uncharted 4 are great examples of it. And with The Last of Us 2 (The Last of Us Part II), the devs are taking things to an extreme level.

In today’s “Inside” episode, Inside The Details, Naughty Dog explains their attention-to-detail process in a great way. This includes making eyes red and veins pop-up when a character’s angry. To make such a game, Naughty Dog does a lot of research and spend a lot of time polishing even the smallest of things.

The ultimate goal is to make things feel more authentic, including characters. From what we saw in yesterday’s 8-minute gameplay reveal, each character is actually human. You can connect with them, and the game will make you feel like you’re the worst person when you kill someone. Each NPC has its own identity and your surrounding reacts in that way.

With The Last of Us 2, Naughty Dog is taking things to the next level. Although it’s one of the most polarizing games of this year, its success is inevitable.

Sony is confident about the product and review copies are already out in the open. Both traditional gaming outlets and influencers are now playing the game across the world. They’ll drop their reviews on June 12, i.e., a week before the game comes out.

We haven’t got a review copy yet, nor has anyone in the India region. There are complications here, and we’re trying to figure things out.
