Not only that, he will be joining his older brother, Jayden, in the American Athletic Conference (AAC). The 6-foot-7 forward is ranked 101st in the class of 2023. He was also a former high school teammate of LeBron James’ son, Bronny, in Sierra Canyon. Moreover, Ashton Hardaway will be eligible for the NBA draft in 2027.
9. Dennis Rodman Jr. (Son of Dennis Rodman)
Last month, Dennis Rodman Jr, the son of Hall-of-Famer Dennis Rodman, announced his transfer to play for the USC Trojans for his final season of collegiate eligibility. Coincidentally, Bronny will also be playing in the same school this year.
DJ Rodman previously played for Washington State but transferred to USC for his final year. Rodman will be eligible for the draft in 2024. Although he started out strong in high school, his level of play did not seem to translate at the collegiate level. Contrary to his father’s rebounding skill, DJ loves attacking the rim and scoring the basket.
8. Jabri Abdur-Rahim (Son of Shareef Abdur-Rahim)
The son of basketball legend Shareef Abdur-Rahim is trying to make his way to the league just like his father. The lengthy and athletic forward currently plays for the University of Georgia and will be eligible in the 2025 NBA draft.
In his junior year in high school, Jabri transferred to Blair Academy, where he helped the team win the New Jersey Prep A state championship and achieve the New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year. He showed great promise as a volume scorer who can do it all. However, he has been suffering injuries lately.
7. Kiyan Anthony (Son of Carmelo Anthony)
Carmelo Anthony‘s son, Kiyan Anthony, is already making noise as the next big thing. Kiyan is one of the top 25 prospects in the class of 2025. The 16-year-old point guard is already showing great talent and continues to prove that he can score the ball just like his old man.
The 6-foot-4 guard is currently playing for Christ the King in New York. Kiyan is also in the same class as Bryce James (LeBron James’ son), and they will surely compete at a very high level, just like their fathers did back in the day.
6. Andrej Stojakovic (Son of Peja Stojakovic)
The eldest son of the former NBA champion Peja Stojakovic is someone scouts should keep an eye on. The up-and-coming Andrej Stojakovic was a helluva scorer in high school. The 6-foot-7 combo guard averaged 24.3 points per game in his junior season at Jesuit High School.
From unranked to being able to participate in the McDonald’s All-American and Nike Hoop Summit, Andrej definitely improved his level of play in just a span of one year. Many people can see how he resembles his father, Peja, but others believe he can become a better all-around player in the future.
5. Jordan Lowery (Son of Allen Iverson)
This may be the first time you heard this, but … Allen Iverson has a son who plays basketball. And the interesting part is that kid is just as great as AI.
Regarded as the best point guard in Texas and one of the best recruits in the area, Jordan Lowery is truly a very talented player. He is already getting a lot of offers from D1 schools, but he is yet to make a decision. Unlike Allen Iverson, Jordan Lowery is a better all-around player and a great passing point guard. He undoubtedly got some of AI’s God-given basketball talent in his DNA. Lowery is one of the best prospects in the class of 2025 and will be eligible in the 2029 NBA draft.
4. D.J. Wagner (Son of Dajuan Wagner)
Everybody remembers the rise and fall of 2002 6th overall pick, Dajuan Wagner. In his rookie year, Wagner was poised to become a superstar with how great he played before entering the league. However, his NBA career did not last long due to health problems.
Now, his son, D.J. Wagner, may continue his failed attempt at NBA stardom. Since his earlier playing days, DJ has always been at the top of his class. He was just recently selected to participate in the McDonald’s All-American Game, joining some of the best prospects in the country. Right now, Wagner has already committed to the Kentucky Wildcats and will play under John Calipari (who also coached his father).
3. Zaire Wade (Son of Dwyane Wade)
Amongst all of these guys on our list, Zaire Wade is probably the closest to achieving the NBA dream. Zaire Wade is the son of the legendary Dwyane Wade.
Zaire currently plays in G-League, and his rookie season was pretty good. While playing for the Salt Lake City Stars, the 21-year-old averaged 4.6 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 13 games before suffering a foot injury last year. Although Zaire is already eligible for the draft, it was reported that he would be taking his talents overseas.
2. Bronny and Bryce James (Sons of LeBron James)
It’s not surprising that both sons of LeBron James Sr., Bronny and Bryce, are ranked higher than others on this list. Since they were born, the James brothers already had immense pressure on their shoulders. Just like Michael Jordan’s sons, it was evident.
However, Bronny and Bryce have been showing out in the last couple of years. The younger Bryce is slowly becoming a top prospect. Although his numbers aren’t stellar, LeBron James Jr. is already a celebrity in the basketball world. Meanwhile, Bronny is on his way to the NBA after he commits to the USC Trojans. Bronny will be eligible in the 2024 NBA draft and could potentially play alongside his father.
1. Cameron and Cayden Boozer (Sons of Carlos Boozer)
Right now, the Boozer twins aren’t just the best second generation of players; they are the BEST DUO in high school. Take away Carlos Boozer’s name, and it would still be undeniable how amazing these twins are.
Cameron is the number one ranked prospect in the class of 2025 and arguably the best high school player in the country. On the other hand, his twin brother, Cayden, is one of the top 25 in the same class. At a glance, Cameron and Cayden are en route to surpassing their father if they continue to play like how they play for Columbus.
