Darksiders III is a popular action role-playing video game developed by Gunfire Games and published by THQ Nordic. It is a sequel to Darksiders II and the third entry in the Darksiders series. Up until now, it was available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One since November 27, 2018. We have some good news for the fans, as it now coming to Nintendo Switch as well.
Coming Soon on Switch
For those of you who are unaware, Nintendo Switch is a video game console developed by Nintendo and released worldwide in 2017. It is an eight-generation console and competes directly with Xbox One and Play Station 4. Also, unlike them, it is portable and therefore has a huge market already.
Hence, releasing Darksider III on Nintendo Switch is a great move by THQ Nordic and would help them reach a huge segment of the market. As per the latest announcement, Darksiders III is all set to release on Nintendo Switch on September 30, 2021. THQ Nordic also announced that the game will have both a digital and physical release. Apart from this, the Darksiders III Switch version will include both The Crucible and Keepers of the Void DLCs.
Series Stands Complete
With the arrival of Darksiders III, Nintendo Switch will have all three games of the series available to play. A leak last July talked about the arrival of Darksiders III on Switch, and it seems like it was true. The game’s Switch version is complete and will be joining the prequels in just 50 days now.
- Darksiders’ remastered version of named Darksiders: Warmastered Edition was released on Nintendo Switch on April 2, 2019. Similarly, Darksider 2’s remastered version titled Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition was published by Nordic Games for PS4, Windows, and Xbox 1 in 2015. The same version arrived on Nintendo Switch in 2019. Now Darksiders III will complete the series on Switch.
- Darksiders III allows players to take control of Fury. She is one of the horsemen of the apocalypse who dispatches foes with a deadly whip and ferocious magic. Players’ task is to use every tool in Fury’s arsenal to defeat the seven deadly sins and bring balance between the forces ravaging Earth.
