The Holidays are almost coming to an end but Steam isn’t done with the spirit of giving yet. There are hundreds of games currently on discount in the Steam Winter Sale and this might just be the perfect list for you. We will be ranking the top 10 Steam games currently on sale for just $1! You probably have played most of these games already. Nonetheless, here they are:
10. Black Desert
If you are still into MMORPGs, then you would want to add Black Desert to your library. Black Desert offered fantasy simulation with role-playing so you can really experience being a true warrior. Well, you can be anything in this game, you just have to find what you really want.
Black Desert was released in 2019 and had quite an interesting start. However, this was not for free-to-play kind of gamers as you either have to grind almost 16 hours a day or pay a hefty amount to create a formidable character. It’s not the mid-2000s to early 2010s gaming anymore BDO! But hey, it still has more than 200,000 active players today so there’s that.
9. The Bridge
The Bridge may be almost a decade old but it still holds up to this day. With a complex yet impressive style of puzzling the minds of its players, the game is definitely one of the best of its kind.

8. Left 4 Dead 1 and 2
We know you also got freaked out by the witch, too! And the tank, boomer, and almost everything else!
More than a decade since it was released, Left 4 Dead is still, to this day, one of the best co-op zombie games. It’s not an award-winning game for nothing, isn’t it?

Why do the simplest games make the best visuals and gameplay? With One Finger Death Punch on sale again, this is going to be the best $1 you’re ever going to spend. And oh, it really is the perfect stickman battle.

Payday 2 is on sale for just a dollar. What a bargain!

The popular co-op first-person shooting game is once again on sale in Steam’s Winter Sale. Years before “Money Heist” was a thing, Payday did it first – at least on a video game. The outcome is endless and there’s a lot to find in the game, you just have to figure it out, slowly but surely.
5. Limbo
Playdead is reportedly making a third game which is out soon but let’s appreciate their first-ever release – Limbo.
There are no words that can describe Limbo as to how freaky and weird yet extremely entertaining this 2D platform puzzle game has to offer.
4. Half-Life series
Arguably the series that put Valve on the map of gaming is no other than the Half-Life series. Starting back in 2007, Half-Life introduced us to immersive storytelling with its impactful action scenes and mind-boggling mysteries. Probably the best among the bunch is Half-Life 2 which is basically just Half-Life 1 with twice the fun!
Except for Half-Life: Alyx (which is also on sale by the way), every game in the franchise is discounted to less than $1. Are you thinking what we are all thinking?
3. Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition
Arguably the best entry in the Deus Ex franchise, Game of the Year Edition is well ahead of its time.

Released on June 22, 2000, the game has already turned 22 years old this year. Feel old yet?
2. Counter-Strike games
Admit it or not, you don’t need these games anymore but you will probably be buying the non-free-to-play Counter-Strike games during the Steam Winter Sale, wouldn’t you?
The nostalgia alone would push that hand of yours to purchase all of the editions. Most of us gamers were first introduced to Counter-Strike before we were tilted in first-person shooting games. Even the Counter-Strike bundles cost just about 50 cents, wouldn’t that be tempting?
1. Portal 1 and 2
Aside from the Counter-Strike and Half-Life series, Portal also created a whole new horizon for Valve. Arguably the perfect Valve creation, it will burn all of your brain cells even though it looks like a simple puzzle game.
Ask any gamer who’s played this game and they will tell you the same. Trust me, just buy the damn game! Also, it’s one of those games that don’t need require that much to run, you can basically run it on a microwave. (Just kidding, don’t do that!)
