9. Archive 81 (2022)
  • This supernatural thriller show is about an archivist who was working on restoring some tapes. The tapes are documentation from a missing director. But he later found himself pulled into a dangerous cult in the tapes.
  • Unfortunately, the show is canceled by Netflix this year as well.
  • Cast – Mamoudou Athie, Dina Shihabi, and Evan Jonigkeit.

8. Marianne (2019)
  • Marianne is about a known horror writer who faces the evil spirit in her dreams. She then finds out that the characters she writes about are real.
  • Just like Archive 81, it got canceled by Netflix for a new season.

7. All of Us Are Dead (2022 – present)
  • The successful hit coming-of-age zombie apocalyptic series is about high school students trying to survive a zombie infiltrated school. The last group of high school students does what it takes against the zombies, the human-zombie hybrid, and the government.
  • All of Us Are Dead is confirmed for a second season by Netflix. But there’s no release date yet anytime soon. As the production has possibly not started too.
  • Cast – Park Jihu, Yoon Chanyoung, Cho Yihyun, Lomon, Yoo Insoo, Lee Yoomi, Kim Byungchul, Lee Kyuhyung, and Jeon Baesoo.

6. Midnight Mass (2021)
  • For this show, is about supernatural events happening in a certain community. This is all because of the arrival of the mysterious priest.
  • Season 2 for this show is not likely to be possible as it is only a limited series.
  • Cast – Kate Siegel, Rahul Abburi, Crystal Balint, Matt Biedel, Annabeth Gish, and Alex Essoe.

5. The Guest (2018)
  • This Korean drama horror thriller show is about a boy who is a psychic that can see evil spirits. A Catholic priest, a detective, and a boy with psychic abilities go on to help people experiencing supernatural events.
  • There is no reported season 2 for this show.
  • Cast – Kim Dongwook, Jung Eunchae, and Kim Jaewook.

4. Kingdom (2019 – present)
  • Kingdom is a historical apocalyptic zombie show which takes place in the 16th century during the Joseon dynasty. The story is about the crown prince who investigates the mysterious virus and as he tries to save the nation.
  • The show currently has 2 seasons on Netflix. However, there’s no official confirmation or cancelation from the streaming platform. But then, there’s still a high chance that there’s going to be season 3 soon for this show.

3. The Haunting of Hill House (2018)
  • Based on the horror novel The Haunting of Hill House in 1959 by Shirley Jackson. This show focuses on the five siblings facing paranormal activities from their Hill House until the present day.
  • There’s a second season for this show titled The Haunting of Bly Manor which was released in 2019. Moreover, there’s no season 3 announced for this show.

2. Stranger Things (2016 – present)
  • The mega-hit Netflix original series first started about a boy who mysteriously went missing in the middle of the night. Then an unknown girl with telekinesis powers stumbled upon a group of kids and supernatural events started to happen.
  • There is a total of 4 seasons for this show and the recent season was just released last May. Moreover, the show is coming back for the last time for the season 5 finale. But there’s still no official release date yet.

  1. Black Mirror (2011 – present)
  • Black Mirror is not your ordinary show as it is an anthology kind of series. It shows a different kind of story that involves societal issues with a dark twist of science-fiction technology.
  • This show began in 2011 with season 1 and now it has 5 seasons. Moreover, there are reports that it’s renewed for a 6th season. But there’s no official date of release yet for it.
