Top 10 Valheim Castle Builds

Valheim has been out for a few weeks, which means that players have already built a slew of ridiculous structures that make your longhouse look like a shed. Despite the fact that the Viking survival game emphasizes the creation of old Scandinavian architecture, players have created some serious sci-fi structures, including castles that appear to defy physics. So, here’s a collection of the best and most outrageous castles from the last few weeks.

10. The Wizard Castle

Here’s a charming wizard’s tower with a view of the coast. This one isn’t from anywhere, but it does remind me of Rapunzel’s tower from the Disney film Tangled. Its many balconies appear to be good places to stand and stare wistfully at the world, and the greenery growing up the middle is a nice touch.

9. The Town

_-GH05T, a Reddit user, is a real-life contractor who constructed this town in just 300 hours!

8. Age of Empire 2 Asian Castle

This structure is five stories tall, with five iron pillars forming a dice shape from the top. From the ground up, there are 5 iron beams and columns on the interior.

7. The Longhouse Castle

The beams set the path for the thatch roof to snap into place, with their 26 and 45-degree angles.

6. Castle Moder

30 hours, 10,000+ stones, sweat, blood, and tears have been shed for this castle.

5. Mountaintop Castle

This was done in creative mode, according to Reddit user vodwuar. He encourages players to continue building and see what they can achieve!

4. The Farm Castle

FallenQsnow, a Reddit user, put in 200 hours to create this masterpiece.

3. A Valheim Resort

This settlement appears to be more sophisticated than nearly every other settlement in the Fallout games. To complete this structure, user Grizbee replanted about 4-5 forests.

2. The Samurai Castle

This exemplifies what truly creative people can achieve with even the most basic of tools. Something from a Studio Ghibli film like Spirited Away comes to mind with the Asian feel. This appears to be fantastic, but refilling all of those torches with resin is going to be quite the task.

  1. Eye of Sauron

The build was posted on NexusMods by creator Rynborg, along with a video that helps to capture just how massive it is. The structure appears to be entirely made of stone, with a staggering number of green-burning iron torches adorning it. They’ve even managed to recreate the iconic Eye of Sauron that sits atop the tower, using a bonfire and a bunch of torches.

If all of this has made you envious, remember that Valheim has a plethora of mods and console commands that allow you to turn the game into a sandbox, and some of the featured builds were most likely created using these methods. Don’t feel bad about your plain vanilla shacks; Valheim small builds are beautiful in their own right!
