Doctor Kyudai Garaki‘s artificial humans, otherwise called Nomu, are zombie-like beasts sufficiently strong to take on Heroes. And at times, even Pro Heroes. And, these are the Top 5 Strongest Nomu in My Hero Academia!

But first, who are these Nomu? Nomu’s are villains that have multiple Quirks and follow orders blindly and mindlessly given to them. Nomu is who had their very own will and could fight cleverly against Heroes.

There are as of now 5 tiers of Nomu, mainly based on their intelligence, strength, and Quirks: Low-End, Mid-End, Upper-End, Near-High-End, and High-End. Now, let’s jump into the list of the Top 5 Strongest Nomu in My Hero Academia.

5. Ribby

  • Human Host: A Psychotic Serial Killer
  • Quirk(s): Super Regeneration, Antennae Quirk, Rib Cage Quirk

Ribby is one of the intelligent Nomu made by Doctor Garaki in his lab at Jaku General Hospital. He worked quite well with Woman during the Paranormal Liberation War arc to kill Mirko. Ribby utilized his antennae to pierce Mirko and figured out how to cut her chest and legs. He was also able to slice her ear right off.

Even without his Quirks, he could undoubtedly pound Eraser Head’s leg and guard himself against Endeavor’s Jet Burn.

4. Kurogiri

  • Human Host: Class 2-A Student, Oboro Shirakumo
  • Quirk(s): Warp Gate

Kurogiri is revealed to be a Nomu in My Hero Academia’s Paranormal Liberation War Arc. He is definitely more intelligent than other Nomu that have been presented in the series. Made from the corpse of Oboro Shirakumo, Aizawa’s childhood friend.

His Warp Gate quirk gives him the ability to generate and manipulate a dark fog that acts like a portal to other places.

3. Woman

  • Human Host: An Intelligent, Bloodthirsty Villain
  • Quirk(s): Super Regeneration, Liquification, Rupture

Woman is one of the intelligent High-End Nomu created by Doctor Garaki in his lab at Jaku General Hospital. Delivered to keep Mirko under control, Woman is also the impromptu head of the 5 High-End Nomu.

Woman is more rational and insightful than other Nomu, even the best one, Hood. She was able to identify when Aizawa (Eraser Head) was suppressing the High-End’s Quirks. She combined her Liquefaction and Rupture Quirks to evade attacks and fire shots simultaneously. A very hot pick in our list of Top 5 Strongest Nomu of MHA.

2. USJ Nomu

  • Human Host: A Small-time Thug
  • Quirk(s): Shock Absorption, Super Regeneration

In our list of Top 5 Strongest Nomu in My Hero Academia, I introduce to you the OG, USJ Nomu. The USJ Nomu is the first one that was introduced to fans in My Hero Academia and it left an impression that is still felt to this very day. He actually set the benchmark of what a Nomu in the series is like.

He could go toe-to-toe with All Might, and keeping in mind that this is a huge accomplishment, he was specifically built to battle him. Which was how he had the power to match him. His Shock Absorption Quirk was amazing, but being an Upper-End Nomu, the other High-End Nomu’s are naturally stronger than him.

1. Hood

  • Human Host: A Street Punk
  • Quirk(s): Muscle Augmentation, Super Regeneration, Shoulder-Mounted Jets, Transforming Arms, Power, Storage

The Strongest Nomu in My Hero Academia is Hood. Hood is a High-End Nomu Nomu that was made by Doctor Garaki, and he filled in as the main antagonist of the Pro Hero arc. He had 6 strong Quirks, the power of flight, a high level of intelligence, and a superior level of regeneration. He was sufficiently able to push Endeavor and Hawks, the No. 1 and 2 Pro Heroes, to their limits.

Hood has great control over these Quirks, as explained to us during his fight against Endeavor and Hawks. It took the joint effort of both to take him down.

Conclusion

That’s it for now. Comment down below your favorite Nomu in the series!

Crunchyroll depicts the story of My Hero Academia as:

“Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered “quirk,” Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.”
