What is UNITED 1944 all about?
Novarama has been working on bringing the ultimate immersive WWII experience to gaming. Through UNITED 1944, players see what life was like for a soldier on the battlefield. Two teams of 16 will set out to gather resources, build defenses, and craft their own weapons and gear, as each team has one goal: take over the factions and claim victory on the battlefield.
- Although it is set in World War II, the game doesn’t feature historical figures. It will focus mainly on soldiers battling each other in a game of base domination.
- Players will find themselves in a city in ruins, allowing them to scavenge whatever they can to protect themselves against the enemies on the other side.
A time for ordinary people to take extraordinary actions.

- As you play through UNITED 1944, it features a progression system that allows players to unlock different upgrades depending on their level.
The most critical aspects of UNITED 1944 are teamwork and communication. You need to talk to your squad to figure out your next move. Since 16 players are too big for a single group, the game divides them into squads of 4. Once that is done, they must take on their own responsibilities and contributions to the group.
- If you want to execute your plans on dealing with the enemies, then communication is your friend in UNITED 1944. Doing this allows your team to come up with a united strategy.
- The game also features a day and night cycle. Depending on your team’s strategy, you must devise plans like a true soldier at war. Gather resources during the day and strike at night; it’s up to you and your team to survive.
How to join UNITED 1944’s Closed Beta Weekend
In April, Novarama opened up registration for UNITED 1944’s first beta testing. Surprisingly, the gaming community showed interest and didn’t anticipate the large number of sign-ups they received. Because of that, they will be hosting two Closed Beta weekends for UNITED 1944! The first weekend is on May 19 until May 21. As for the second scheduled Closed Beta weekend, players can jump in on the action on May 26 until May 28.

- Remember that registering for the Closed Beta period of UNITED 1944 does not guarantee a slot. Depending on how many players and matches the game’s current servers can host, Novarama might keep it small for now.
