VALHEIM Bronze Armor: A Simple Crafting Guide

Valheim

Building new and better gear is critical to the experience in Valheim. To survive long enough to fight the gray dwarves, trolls, and massive bosses in the game, you’re going to need strong armor.

The problem is that the way to create that armor can be quite confusing. You’ll need to upgrade your toolkit, workbench, hunt certain creatures, and learn how to work with metal.

Here’s a complete rundown of Valheim’s Bronze armor. Including their strength, the benefits you can expect from them when creating complete sets, and most importantly, how to unlock and craft them.

Get ready to do hunting and mining work along the way. Also noteworthy is that this armor set can be upgraded multiple times to increase its durability and armor levels.

  • Items: Helmet, Plate Leggings, Plate Cuirass
  • Requirements: Forge, Deerskin, Bronze
  • Armor per piece: 8 (24 for the set)
  • Weight per piece: 10 (3 for the helmet)
  • The set reduces movement speed by 10%.

The Bronze Armor set isn’t one of the best in the game. However, it provides better protection than the Troll Armor set and is relatively simple to complete once the first boss has been defeated.

Defeat Eikthyr

The first and foremost thing is to kill Eikthyr, the first boss in the game. A small glowing rock can be found near spawn, to the left of Eikthyr’s Sacrificial Stone. When you interact with this rock, a new icon appears on the map that shows the location of one of Eikthyr’s summoning altars.

When you defeat Eikthyr, you will get his horn, which you can turn into a pickaxe strong enough to start mining for minerals. That is the first step in your quest for the Bronze.

Copper and Tin

Finding copper and tin is relatively easy.

Walk through the Black Forest until you come across one of the large copper ore chunks.

Tin ore is found in the same biome, but in smaller chunks and usually near water.

Once you’ve mined both, you’ll unlock the ability to build new crafting stations, including a foundry and a forge. Use the Smelter to turn the ore into usable Copper and Tin, then use the Forge to combine them into Bronze.

From there, you can start making things out of bronze, including stronger tools and new armor.

Don’t worry if you still can’t find the recipe; It doesn’t appear until you first create bronze. You need 2 pieces of copper and 1 piece of tin to make 1 piece of bronze.

To create the Valheim Bronze Armor Set, you need the following items:

  • 15 bronze (30 copper and 15 tin)
  • 6 deerskin
