Following the release of Gekko, players are looking for agents who compliment and have great synergy with someone as versatile as the newest Initiator. Because of this, we’ve rounded up some of the best agents you can use with the latest addition to Valorant’s growing roster.
Controllers
Astra
Let’s face it: any team without a Controller or Smoker is doomed to lose. You may have the best of the best on your lineup, but you will always need a Controller in order to easily push into sites or block off enemies trying to push your team.
Astra is one of the best agents for a good team comp with Gekko simply because of her smokes.
- If you have already played as Gekko, then you’re familiar with his ability to pick up his globules after using his utilities. Although this makes Gekko quite the Initiator, it puts him in a tough spot when he has to pick up his globules in the open.
- With Astra, you can provide a smoke cover for your Gekko in case he needs to pick up his utilities again. Although Harbor can do the same thing, his bubble smoke can only be deployed once.

- Another thing you can try out with your Astra x Gekko combo is her Gravity Well and his Mosh Pit. Either Gekko or Astra can deploy their utilities first, but the result will always be the same: merciless damage.
- When Astra pulls the enemies in, Gekko can throw his Mosh Pit and watch as enemies helplessly get caught in the explosive area.
Viper
Another Controller that can synergize well with Gekko is Viper. Despite facing countless nerfs, Viper remains one of the best Controllers in Valorant. Pair her up with Gekko and your team will be one step closer to being unstoppable.
- Combine Viper’s Snake Bites with Gekko’s Mosh Pits and you’ve got yourself a deadly combination. You can easily deal more damage and possibly easy frags if you combine the two together.
- Furthermore, Viper’s toxic smokes can be paired with Gekko’s abilities to blind, concuss, and detain enemies so your team won’t have a hard time dealing with them.
Duelists
Jett
It’s no secret that Duelists often have the brunt end of every round. Not only are they expected to enter the site for their team, but Riot also describes them as “self-sufficient” fraggers who should be putting pressure on the enemy team.
Jett is arguably the Duelist with a high pick rate. Since she is an agile agent who can dash, float, and smoke, it’s a no brainer that a lot of Valorant players either want a Jett on their team or they want to be the Jett for their team.
She is a good ally for Gekko simply because of how you can utilize Gekko’s OP abilities to create entries for Jett.
- Use Gekko’s Dizzy before Jett dashes in and you’ll be seeing frags dropping left and right. She will be able to rush in and secure a site with Gekko by her side.
- If you do not prefer Gekko being too aggressive, you can have Jett take the reins. Use Wingman to plant or defuse the Spike and have Jett cover it with her smokes.
Trust us, your enemies won’t know what hit them if you pair Jett with Gekko.

Raze
Another Duelist that fits best with team comps for Gekko is Raze. Similar to Jett, there is a lot of movement involved if you or your teammate will play as Raze. With her satchels, she can either rush enemies or gain the upperhand by breezing past through them.
- Gekko will still play a less aggressive role if he is teaming up with Raze. Using his utilities like Dizzy and Mosh Pit, he can provide support for Raze in clearing sites. Blinding and stunning enemies help Raze easily score some frags as enemies will be caught off-guard.
- If you time it right and you use both Gekko’s and Raze’s Ultimate Abilities, then it will be easy for you to wipe out the enemy team.
Sentinels
Cypher
Were you expecting Killjoy to be on this list? Although we love our favorite German engineer, we just don’t think she fits well with Gekko. In our opinion, there is another Sentinel who works best with an ally Gekko in Valorant.
Despite being adjusted a fair amount of times already, Cypher is still a great pick for Sentinel mains. How he can be part of the best team comps for Gekko is by combining their utilities together.
- Since Cypher is able to gather information about the enemy’s locations, this allows Gekko to effectively use his abilities against the enemy team.
- If you are playing as Gekko, wait until an enemy triggers Cypher’s Tripwire before you either use your Mosh Pit or have Wingman attack them. Doing the latter allows you to concuss enemies twice, making it easier to get a kill.
- Gekko can also get information from Cypher’s Ultimate Ability, Neural Theft, to strategize where to use his utilities.
