Valorant episode 5 act 2; What we know so far + Schedule

Avid players are in for a new challenge as Valorant comes with a new update, Episode 5 Act 2. Gear up as a Battlepass and agent are just among what you can possibly anticipate from the new update!

Valorant is a free-to-play first-person shooter game developed by Riot Games. It was first teased under the codename Project A in October 2019. Then, the game began a closed beta period in April 2020. Finally, it was officially launched on June 2, 2020, and its fame skyrocketed since then. According to Gameort, it became the second most concurrent viewers for any game on Twitch, with 1.73 million viewers tuning in various streams.

From the release, Valorant first came up with four maps and ten Agents in the beta edition. Now, its great success led to nineteen Agents and seven maps by 2022. Progress seems to continue with the new update.

Though Riot Games have yet to announce official details, there have been several leaks on Twitter. Stay with us as we delve into what we know so far.

Everything to know about Episode 5 Act 2

  • A leak from Twitter user floxayyy also confirms the possible date. Though delays are still possible on Riot Games’ end. Moreover, these are mere speculations so take them with a grain of salt.

Episode 5 Act 2 Battlepass

  • Players know that Valorant gets a new skin line wherever a new Battlepass is released. Fortunately, Riot games accidentally teased the prototype skin on Twitter, and fans caught the information before it got deleted. Valorant players can now anticipate the leaked Daedalus bundle in a few days.

The anticipated Agent 21

  • As Valorant has not released a new agent for two Acts already, fans are highly expecting the new Agent on the next update. Twitter user ValorLeaks first provided the information for the new Agent. They provided the codename ‘Mage’ of the 21st Agent.

  • Following this codename, there are theories for the nature of the new character. Players speculate that the agent will be a water-themed magical agent with Indian heritage.

New Valorant Map?

  • Riot Games only tend to release a new nap every Episode. Thus, it is unlikely that they are able to come up with a new one on the new update. Its latest map was only recently developed with the Pearl map in Episode 5 Act 1.
  • In addition, Split was also removed from the Valorant map pool as a replacement for Pearl. Making it the very first map removed from the game.
  • According to Gameort, the developer team said they prefer a strict seven number of maps policy. “The team thinks seven is a nice sweet spot that offers both variety and mastery. You don’t have to spend all your time learning new angles, lineups, and strategies. New players will have an easier onboarding experience. And pro teams get to have deeper, more exciting playbooks.”

We cannot reassure Valorant players as there is no official information yet. However, with Valorant’s consistent success and new content, a new gaming experience is just around the corner!
