Valorant: Mage – What we know so far + Abilities Leaked

Exciting news, Valorant players! New details of the rumored Agent 21 have just been leaked. Though Riot Games remain tight-lipped on the official announcement of their new agent, they are also known for having their own content leaked.

Valorant is a free-to-play first-person shooter game developed by Riot Games. It was first teased under the codename Project A in October 2019. Then, the game began a closed beta period in April 2020. Finally, it was officially launched on June 2, 2020, and its fame skyrocketed since then. According to Gameort, it became the second most concurrent viewers for any game on Twitch, with 1.73 million viewers tuning in various streams.
From the release, Valorant first came up with four maps and ten Agents in the beta edition. Now, its great success led to nineteen Agents and seven maps by 2022. Progress seems to continue with the new update.

Episode 5 introduced players to the new map Pearl. They have also experienced losing one map as a replacement. We had hoped Agent 21 was supposed to be released along with the newest Act, unfortunately, there is still no official announcement of the launch.

However, hope is not lost. Agent 21’s abilities have been all over the internet since its leak. Here are what we know so far.

Everything we know about Agent 21

It has not been long since ValorLeaks first provided the information for the new Agent. They provided the codename ‘Mage’ of the 21st Agent. Following this codename, there are theories for the nature of the new character. Players speculate that the agent will be a water-themed magical agent with Indian heritage.

An image of the agent was also leaked on Twitter. The agent’s icon has been blocked out in the image, but the abilities, their icons, and their costs can be clearly read. User ValorLeaks also clarified that most of the stuff in the image will change.

Though this information is yet to be confirmed, it is good news for players who have been waiting. As Valorant has not released a new agent for two Acts already, fans are highly expecting the new Agent on the next update.

Agent ‘Mage’ abilities

The image is clear enough to show the new agent’s abilities. These abilities were also noted down by fans for better understanding. In addition, these abilities were also leaked on Reddit.

  • Vision Taker C Ability: EQUIP a distortion wall launcher. FIRE to create a small line of distortion. Enemies will get briefly blinded if they walk through.
  • Tartarus Pit Q Ability: EQUIP a Tartarus charger. FIRE to launch a shot that deals some damage and slows players within its zone.

When is Valorant Agent 21’s release date?

As mentioned, there is still no official information yet. The launch would most likely happen in October of 2022 but there is no certainty. A major content release, either a map or agent, will come in Valorant Episode 5 Act 3.
