Valorant’s upcoming Agent Gekko: Release date and time for all regions revealed

Gekko is set for release in Valorant

The next Valorant agent in line, Gecko is all set for its release with the upcoming Episode 6 Act II update. The update will bring forth many new changes. With Riot Games releasing new content every patch, and the new Lotus map coming to Valorant last Act, the stage is all set for Gekko.

This new agent will bring a whole new spectrum of possibilities to the way a Valorant match is supposed to be played. Gekko brings a brand new dynamic to the game that nobody expected to see in their lifetime. A literal sidekick will be accompanying your attack and defense from now on.

When will Gekko come to Valorant

The next patch update of Valorant, Episode 6 Act II is set to come on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. With that update, Gekko will become a playable agent for those purchasing him. For those who will look to grind and unlock the agent, it might take some time to complete Gekko’s mission up till tier 5.

With Gekko set for release, the agent trailer was released by Riot Games a couple of hours ago, swiftly followed by his abilities being revealed on Twitter.

The prominent data leaker, Mike previously known as ValorLeaks has made sure everyone becomes comfortable with all the abilities of Gekko.

All the known abilities of Gekko so far are:

  • Mosh Pit (C)
  • Wingman (Q)
  • Dizzy (E)
  • Thrash (X)

All these abilities make Gekko one of the, if not the most bizarre agents to play in Valorant. Especially with the Wingman ability, you can easily become extremely creative with players, both while attacking and defending a site. The ability to guide a gecko into a site to either plant or defuse the Spike while you defend it adds the single most unique dynamic in gaming.
