King Kong by Starship released an official statement through Korean media outlets, refuting recent allegations of misconduct against Yoo Yeon Seok. It clarified that the rumors of the trending post are completely groundless.
The company investigated the matter along with the actor and reassured K-drama fans that it’ll be taking legal action. It is in contact with its lawyer and the accuser will be facing a defamation lawsuit for spreading false information regarding the actor’s character.
On March 21, 2023, an anonymous post appeared on Nate Pann accusing the Hospital Playlist actor of misbehaving. The “victim” described an event from six or seven years ago when his father was working as a security guard at an apartment complex.
According to the post, Yoo Yeon Seok and his friends disrespected and mocked the accusers’ father. The security guard also eventually quit his post due to the frequent hostile and humiliating behavior.

Following the release of the management’s statement regarding its actor Yoo Yeon Seok’s defamation, the anonymous accuser released an apology. In the post, the netizen continued to protect their identity and shared that the rumor was indeed false.
The writer clarified the previous post was written in a fit of jealousy and didn’t know it would get this big. They apologized to the actor and admitted Yoo Yeon Seok appears to be a considerate person. However, the netizen also continued to defend the statement saying they only wrote what they heard from their father.
King Kong by Starship responded to the apology by stating its unwavering stand, and will not be showing any tolerance towards false rumors and continue with the lawsuit. Additionally, it revealed to Dispatch that the actor has always been kind towards his security guards and even shared gifts on various occasions.
Following this news, the matter appeared to be concluding, but according to Newsis another post claiming to be the original writer surfaced online.
This time around, the netizen claimed that the previous apology wasn’t written by him and he still stands with his past accusation. Regardless of it, Yoo Yeon Seok has filed a defamation lawsuit against the false accusations.
