One of the most successful anime of all time, Naruto is getting four new episodes on its 20th Anniversary this year. The official Naruto website has confirmed this piece of news, giving the fans a lot to look for. The journey of the mischievous ninja who finally succeeds in his dream of becoming the Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village will receive a small remake.
The anime started its course in Japan on October 3, 2002, and covered the first part of the manga till 2007. The first season, titled Naruto, had 220 episodes and also produced some non-canon movies in that time frame.
In 2007, the anime started Season 2 titled Naruto: Shippuden, which covered the second part of the manga post the time-skip. It ran for 500 episodes until 2017 again with several non-canon movies. The sequel series, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations started in 2017 and is running to date, and portrays Naruto’s son, Boruto, as the main character.

As announced by the official website, Boruto’s first part is ending this year too. Thus, the fans of the series are anticipating a rejuvenation of the famous ninja way of young Naruto in absence of Boruto.
The four new Naruto episodes are expected to be taken from the anime and reanimated with a new art style and additional scenes. Studio Pierrot is expected to reanimate all four episodes from both seasons of Naruto.
Thus, you can expect the same level of exhilaration as before, but in a new art style and with some additional scenes. The fans are highly excited about this. Studio Pierrot also released a “Road to Naruto” video that compiles all 20 years of Naruto and his journey to become the strongest ninja the world has ever seen. It features a new animation style with enhanced artistic effects.

The official Naruto website has announced that the episodes will be released in September 2023. There are officially no further announcements about any other details. No mention of the cast, episode choice, or anything else has been made. Selected earlier episodes will be rerun on TV in Japan from July for the anniversary celebration. Thus, you have a lot to be excited for if you are a fan.
As a part of the famous Big 3 series, Naruto is surely returning to re-claim its fandom.
