The Navy Criminal Investigative Service or NCIS, is back with yet another outstanding installment. Viewers just finished watching Season 20 Episode 16 of the third longest-running scripted series presently airing.

The CBS police procedural drama made its debut on September 23, 2003, and has since given us 20 exhilarating seasons full of thrilling and interesting episodes. The 20th season of the show, which will include 22 episodes, debuted on September 19, 2022, on CBS.

When it comes to publishing the most recent episodes, NCIS has a pattern. Except for December 2022, NCIS Season 20 has published a maximum of three episodes per month. The show had adopted the strategy of releasing a new episode every Monday starting on Episode 10 or January 9, 2023.

Now that the viewers know the season is intended to release at least two to three episodes per month. Since no new episode was released this month until March 13, therefore, one can understand that the upcoming Monday, or March 20, will host the next episode.

Plot

NCIS revolves around a fictional team of special agents and follows the pattern of an American police procedural TV series. The show is about intense criminal situations that are solved by a group of agents on the Major Case Response Team of the Navy Criminal Investigative Service under the direction of Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

Due to its massive popularity and nail-biting episodes, everyone is eagerly waiting for Episode 17, Stranger in a Strange Land.  

Butterfly Effect, the previous episode of NCIS, aired on March 13, 2023. The episode followed agent Knight’s father as he experienced a health crisis while in Japan. Furthermore the NCIS team dealt with a bio-terror attack and moved quickly to determine who was responsible for a potential assault in a strip mall’s parking garage.

Now, the fans are eager to see Stranger in a Strange Land, in which the team will investigate the murder of a Marine private who was allegedly killed for assisting an Afghan immigrant. Moreover, we will also see how Jimmy manages the stress of raising his adolescent daughter, who is keen to go on an unsupervised group date. They have already prepared for NCIS Season 20 Episode 17 after the current episode.

The 16th episode of NCIS Season 20 was released on March 13, 2023, so the 17th episode might air on March 20, 2023, at 8:00 p.m./7c on CBS. If you want to see it again, you will need to upgrade your Paramount+ subscription. Further, there might be a new episode on March 27.
