Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have unfortunately called it a day on their relationship. Entertainment Tonight has learnt exclusively that the Bad Blood singer and the Harriet actor split a few weeks ago.

ET also learned that the break up was “amicable” and “not dramatic.” They appear to have grown apart but intend to stay friends. According to ET, Further, the piece read, “the relationship had just run its course. It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows.”

Taylor Swift, 33, is presently on her The Eras tour, which will stop in Tampa, Florida next week. Fans, on the other hand, have a lot to say about it and are having trouble getting over the news.

Joe Alwyn and Taylor Swift reportedly met at the MET Gala in May 2016. She was then dating DJ Calvin Harris. Following a year-long relationship, they broke up in June 2016.

Shortly after that, the two began dating. Swift and Alwyn were said to be in a good position in their relationship not so long ago. A source told ET in October that they were “doing great” and had a “super strong relationship.”

When Swift and Alwyn were together, it was evident the couple had reached an agreement. Their relationship would be intimate and private, and they would stand together to safeguard it.

Still, a love story like Swift and Alwyn’s doesn’t remain hidden forever. They’ve been more open about their relationship than ever before since 2020.

Alwyn, who has been in a number of films, like The Last Letter from Your Lover and Stars at Noon, stepped away from his acting career to assist in the co-writing two songs in Swift’s 2020 studio album, Folklore.

Things were going great between the two. However, it was announced on April 8, 2023, that the singer and the actor had put an end to their relationship after six years together. According to Entertainment Tonight, the couple split up peacefully and their relationship just ran into a wall.

That announcement occurred only hours after Swift’s highly anticipated 10th studio album, Midnights, was published, followed by seven additional songs in her surprise “3am Edition” of the album.

It didn’t take long for Swift’s fans to respond to the news. Many even turned to social media and expressed their shock over this news.

Swift has been touring the United States for her “The Eras” tour since March 17, 2023.  The stadium tour began in Glendale, Arizona.

The reported split comes after a friend of the pair told PEOPLE magazine that the British actor will be attending the “The Eras” tour.

“Joe will travel with her when he can,” the source told the outlet in March. “They are great together. Joe is super supportive of her career.” It’s rather startling because the pair was just spotted together in NYC and their last year’s Bahamas vacation reflected that they were doing great.

There was once a rumor that the couple was engaged. However, they never discussed their relationship openly. When someone approached Alwyn and asked about the it, he tactfully ignored it. He remarked that if he had a pound for every time people believed that he was engaged, he would have a pocketful of pounds.

Things were evidently going great before the break up as Taylor dedicated the song Lavender Haze by Midnight and Love Letter to Joe.
