The Merc with a Mouth, a.k.a Deadpool, is causing a stir once again as rumors swirl about his long-awaited leap into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Fans’ excitement reached a fever pitch when the first-look image featuring the infamous Deadpool and the fierce Wolverine started making waves on Twitter, sending the internet into a frenzy. With speculation running rampant, everyone is dying to know: Will Deadpool finally find his place among Earth’s mightiest heroes in the MCU? Let’s dive into the intriguing possibilities that lie ahead as the chimichanga-loving antihero and the adamantium-laced mutant cross paths, setting the internet ablaze with anticipation.
Will Deadpool 3 join the MCU at long last?
Almost a year ago, Ryan Reynolds teased every Marvel fan with a surprising cameo of Hugh Jackman in his video about the Deadpool 3 update. Obviously, fans were excited to see Hugh Jackman reprise his role as the beloved mutant Wolverine, especially now that he can do it with one of the most lovable anti-heroes, Deadpool. Well, to answer the question if Deadpool 3 will finally be connected to the MCU: Well, Reynolds talked about Deadpool’s “first appearance in the MCU”, which without a doubt confirms that Deadpool is indeed joining the franchise.
Moreover, the threequel will be officially a Marvel Studios project (as seen on the teaser poster). Even Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios has confirmed that the witty and irreverent antihero will be taking breaking the fourth wall, not in his own world, but in the MCU. In addition, since Jackman will be playing Wolverine again, we’re going to assume that this will be just like the Spider-Man: No Way Home where every Spider-Man from other universes (Sam Raimi’s and Marc Webb’s) will appear in MCU’s very own version of the friendly neighborhood hero. Lest we forget, Professor X has already made his way into the MCU when he appeared in Doctor Strange in the MultiVerse of Madness as one of the members of The Illuminati. Hence, it would be possible we will be getting to see Deadpool and Wolverine in the same franchise. We are already in the MultiVerse saga, duh!

Marvel fans, especially those of Wolverine, were ecstatic after seeing the first-look images of the Wolverine and Deadpool tandem in Deadpool 3. What made all of us excited is Wolverine’s suit, which is derived from the original comic books. Hugh Jackman dons the yellow and blue Wolverine costume which is true to the source material. How much more if this new Wolverine wears the mask? That would be superb!

Deadpool 3 will be released on May 3, 2024. The film, just like the previous ones, will still be getting an R-rating so brace yourselves for more of what we’ve seen in the last two movies (spoiler, more blood!).
