The veteran wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha has been on the trending page. The 37-year-old cricketer has been dropped from the Indian test squad against the upcoming series with Sri Lanka. This has become the top story.

Saha is also in the news for sharing a screenshot of explosive messages by a journalist, who tried to force the wicketkeeper for an interview. BCCI has decided to take strong action against the journalist.

Saha claims that during his 61 against New Zealand in Kanpur late last year, he received a personal text from BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, who assured him to remain a part of the Indian unit at least until the former India captain was at the helm of things.

Wriddhiman Saha has withdrawn himself from the Ranji Trophy for personal reasons.

Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) Secretary Snehasish Ganguly said the cricketer could have kept conversations between him and the BCCI to himself.

The official further mentioned that the wicketkeeper, who has decided to skip the Ranji Trophy due to personal reasons, is free to join the squad if he wishes.

He is one of the finest wicket-keepers and batsmen. He always tries to recover the team from a bad phase. Whenever the team is in danger, he doesn’t give a wicket too early and tries to contribute more. Let’s hope that everything ends on a good note.
