The Xbox Mobile App has added a new feature that allows users to share Game Clips as Snapchat-like Stories. The time-limited Stories have gained a lot of attraction on social media platforms after Snapchat and Instagram were introduced. Since then, we’ve seen a lot of sites try to replicate the same feature. Along with the new Stories feature, the Xbox App has also introduced its new Quality of Service (QoS) Tagging feature.

More about the new Stories update, it’ll now allow users to be able to share game moments by posting in-game clips, screens, and achievements. Users can select whether to share the moments with their friends or even the Xbox community. You can reply to these stories with either message or a quick emoji reaction too.

  • As for how to access the new option, it is fairly easy as users would just need to update the Xbox Mobile App. After that, they’ll see a new Stories channel right on the home screen.
  • They can now post stories by opening the channel and tapping the “+” symbol next to their Gamertag. There are even options to add a caption during the preview page and more. Currently, this feature is available in Australia with an eventual rollout to other regions too.

  • Alongside this, Microsoft has also announced a new Quality of Service (QoS) tagging feature. It allows to prioritize traffic that’s sensitive to network congestion like multiplayer gaming or party chat.
  • This feature is accessible in the Advanced section of the Network settings menu. It needs support by either the home router or ISP network and Microsoft even says that it might cause issues with some networks.
