YouTuber IShowSpeed has become the talk of the town after his sexist rant went viral on Twitter on April 7. The YouTuber is recognized for his gaming and entertainment live streams, and in 2021, he gained over 1 million subscribers in just a few days. The year 2022, on the other hand, has been a curse for him. He was banned from Twitch permanently in early 2022 after a sexist outburst on Adin Ross’ feed.
After this, he decided to move to the YouTube platform and got involved yet again in another controversy.
In the recent viral video clip, he yells at his teammates after missing a 1v1 clutch. After the woman voiced her concerns, Speed slammed: “Is a B*tch talking to me? Is a female talking to me? am I tripping?
I now understand why Valorant queues are so unbelievably toxic. You got one of the most popular streamers on YouTube IShowSpeed saying crap like this and getting nothing but praise and laughs. Crap is whack pic.twitter.com/grEghVotUF

“Get off the fu**ing game and do your husband’s dishes, bi**h. Shut Up! F*ck You! F*uck’s wrong with ya’ll. Stop talking to me like that ni**a. F*ck’s wrong with ya’ll dawg I’m not one of those lame Valorant nerds.”
This sexist rant went viral which led to many repercussions for the YouTuber. Since then, Riot Games banned him on all of their titles. Valorant developer Sara Dadafshar replied to the clip, “This is a huge yikes and we do NOT want players like this in our community at all. I went ahead and perma banned this player from VALORANT, as well as all other Riot Games.”
The YouTuber apologized for his previous action and accepted his fault. He said that he wasn’t having a good day on that day, and people were talking about his late Aunt which made him angry. He also apologized to that girl and asked if that girl wants to hit him and say anything, he would love to hear her out.
After this, he also went live on YouTube after apologizing that the fans might not see him anymore and talked about a possible break – although he promised not to leave his fans unless he was permanently banned.
People reacted to the apology the YouTuber made in a mixed manner. Adin Ross, an American Twitch streamer, said it took guts to admit when someone had made a mistake and was proud of him for doing so.
You’re good bro. You’re growing, and maturing, and realizing things .. becoming a better person. What you said was wrong and it takes balls to address it and admit it was wrong. Most people can’t lol, Proud of you brother ❤️

HypeX supported IShowSpeed, saying that it was important that the streamer apologized for past mistakes and grew.
Everyone make mistakes, and you apologized for it and grown past it which is all that matters. Keep dominating!

However, there was the other side that didn’t support the YouTuber’s apology.
I see people supporting you, but this is a trash apology and the platform should definitely kick you. This kind of abuse is never ok, or excusable.
