In addition to a brand-new world to experience, Octopath Traveler 2 provides players a completely new cast to get to know. There are eight playable characters in this game, each of whom represents a different class and has a separate set of goals to discover. You can select from any among these and all of them have a distinct story to learn about.

This game features a turn-based combat system. So, each character has unique skills and attacks. Also, they have Journey Actions that dictate how they will interact with the locals. Be sure the character you choose fits your style of play at the beginning of the game when you can check it while selection.

Exploring Octopath Traveler 2 cast: All characters and how to switch between them

You must finish Chapter One of your main character in Octopath Traveler 2 before switching to someone else. Open the global map after that and look for towns close to other protagonists. When you reach the suggested level, visit that location and approach the person to join them.

Afterwards, alter the character by going to an Inn in that town. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to finish the recruited character’s first chapter. Keep in mind that, you won’t be able to remove your original choice from the group until you finish their tale. If you don’t finish all four chapters for each character, you can’t get rid of them.

A look at the characters in Octopath Traveler 2

1) Agnea

Agnea belongs to the RPG class of Dancer, which has a variety of variations. The party-boosting spells and abilities she possesses are useful, but they are not her primary skill set. She may obtain free stuff from NPCs thanks to her talents, which is thievery. Like other characters in the game, Agnea has the ability to summon and befriend NPCs, however, when she does so, the NPCs’ skills change.

2) Partitio

As a young boy, Partitio, a merchant, lives in a Wild West-style community. He can purchase items from strangers or summon NPCs in exchange for money, which is essentially his version of the traditional thieving skill.

3) Osvald

The strongest magic user in the playable characters of Octopath Traveler 2 is Osvald, a Scholar, or a mage in this universe. In addition to his incredible powers, he can obtain sensitive information from NPCs. He enhances his spells with science, which makes his friend anxious.

4) Throné Anguis

Since Throné is a thief, most RPG fans should be familiar with this class. While she may defeat opponents just like many others, her actual Steal Path Action is the greatest in the game at doing so. By providing players with incredible equipment early on, it can help them win the game. Although the percentages can occasionally be low, dedicated gamers can still succeed.

5) Castti Florenz

Surprisingly, Castti possesses a strong set of abilities that go along with her ability to create potions. She uses things since she is an apothecary. Being one of the two main healers in Octopath Traveler 2, she is supposed to be weak. To get around NPCs in town, Castti can use medicine to knock them unconscious or acquire information to discover mysteries.

6) Hikari

Hikari is the strongest melee combatant in Octopath Traveler 2 because he is a Warrior. Although he is the gentlest soul, his prowess in battle has no bounds. His Path Actions, one of which focuses on information and the other on eliminating NPCs, are not great. Yet, he can copy skills thanks to the interesting aspect of his knockout ability, Challenge.

7) Ochette

Ochette is a hunter with a focus on bow techniques and can catch monsters with the use of her Hunter skill and employ them in combat. She can summon NPCs as well, however summonings of monsters are not permanent. Ochette has the ability to turn enemies into food, which she uses to convince NPCs to cooperate.

8) Temenos

Temenos is a cleric, but his abilities go far beyond those of a healer. His similarity to a detective is what makes him intriguing. Aside from his healing abilities, he also possesses a respectable skill set. He can summon NPCs and obtain information like other characters.

Subrat is a video game journalist at Spiel Times. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, but his love for esports and gaming led him to pursue a career in esports writing.
