The contestants of the American Idol Season 21

The 21st season of American Idol is still going strong with episode 18. To prepare for this weekend’s Disney Night broadcast, this year’s Top 5 American Idol finalists go to Disneyland Resort this week. Additionally, they had the opportunity to receive private tutoring from celebrity coach Sofia Carson in Disneyland Park’s New Orleans Square. The best night of the year is happening on American Idol! The Top 5 contestants will face off against well-known Disney songs this Sunday, May 14, in an effort to advance to the grand finale. They traveled to the Disneyland Resort earlier this week to prepare for their Disney Night concerts. Even the celebrity judges enjoyed the festivities with Mickey Mouse at Pixar Pier.

  • This will be broadcast LIVE coast to coast on ABC on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. Moreover, earlier this season, the show’s finalists had already been to Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa. Disney Night and Aulani visits are common traditions for the reality show.

The finalists’ trip to the Disneyland Resort included exhilarating rides, encounters with legendary characters, tasty treats, and shopping for entertaining souvenirs. All these helped them add even more magic to the classic Disney song they’ll perform live on the show. Moreover, the five finalists’ mothers joined them in honor of Mother’s Day, making it a family event.

This upcoming episode of American Idol promises even more enchantment. Halle Bailey will play “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid in this special “Disney Night” edition, while Sara Bareilles will open the show with a unique version of the Disney100 song “When You Wish Upon a Star.” This Disney Night will be one to remember!
