Animal Crossing: Ladder Crafting Guide, How To Get

Newcomers to this game will quickly discover that parts of their island are inaccessible. If they want to explore extensively, they’ll need to construct a ladder. In this guide, we will help you on how to craft a ladder!

How To Get a Ladder

Step 1 Go to Dodo Airlines and book a flight to a new island using a Nook Miles Ticket.
Step 2 You’ll find another villager walking the seashore once you arrive at your goal. Speak with them.
Step 3 After a few conversations with them, you’ll be able to invite them back to your town. Even if you don’t want the villager to live with you permanently, we encourage inviting them to live with you because you’ll need them to start the ladder unlocking procedure. You can always evict them later if necessary.

Tom Nook will soon contact you with a proposal – he’d want you to build a new bridge for the town now that you’ve invited a few folks back to your town.

Build a Bridge

To construct your wooden bridge, collect the necessary materials: log stakes, clay, and stone.

Step 1 Three pieces of wood can be fashioned into log stakes at your workbench. The Stone Axe can be used to collect wood from trees. Clay and stone can both be obtained by slamming rocks with a shovel seven times in a row.
Step 2 You’ll need another workbench to make your wooden bridge kit.
Step 3 Finally, you’ll need to decide where your bridge should be placed. Bridges can span any river or pond, running north to south, east to west, or diagonally.
Step 4 To use your wooden bridge kit, simply open it up and place it where you want it.

Step 1 When you discuss this duty with Tom Nook, he will provide you with three home plots to place around your island in preparation for future settlers.
Step 2 Place all three plots as you walk around your island. It isn’t necessary to position them in a certain location, but make sure you like where you put them. Otherwise, later in the game, you’ll have to spend hundreds of Bells to transfer them.
Step 3 Tom Nook will contact you once the assignment is completed. You’ll be told that some of the goods he wants you to make require resources only found up the cliffs, which is an issue for anyone who doesn’t have access to a ladder. Tom Nook will notice the problem and pass on the solution.
Step 4 Simply open the recipe once you have it to study it. At any workbench, you can now make a ladder!
Step 5 Head over to Resident Services for the final step, where you’ll be able to make your own ladder out of four pieces of wood, hardwood, and softwood.
