FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. may have teamed up to give out, possibly, a new amazing game. Both companies, after a huge year with Elden Ring last 2022 come back this year with another game. The publishers and developers dropped the news about the coming of Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon way back in December 2022. After 10 years since the last installment in the franchise, Armored Core 6 comes sooner than we think, so here are the possible release date, all platforms, and everything we know so far about the upcoming action game!

If action games interest you, then you may want to take a look at this game. Looking back, the Armored Core series started in 1997. The third-person mecha shooting game came from the developers of FromSoftware. Yes, believe it or not, the said developers come back with the game after the last release in 2013. Now, what’s in store for this upcoming installment in the franchise?

  • FromSoftware showcases its expertise in mech games and Bandai Namco co-develops and publishes the game. As they announced the upcoming game in a reveal trailer at The Game Awards 2022 at the same time, they dropped a piece of news about it. PlayStation posted the reveal trailer for Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon on their YouTube. If you haven’t seen it, then watch the video below!

Possible Release Date

When we said sooner, we meant that you can catch the game this year, 2023. It may be a huge release window, but we can see the first look of the game next month. On the Bandai Namco official YouTube channel, the game would appear at the Taipei Gameshow 2023 for an hour-long program. Set a reminder on their video, and catch the program at 9 pm JST, 7 am ET, 4 am PT, and 1 pm CET, respectively.

Story and gameplay

The story revolves around a new substance that came to the remote planet, Rubicon 3. The substance’s energy could’ve brought advancements in the technological and communication capabilities of humans. But things turned out differently, it brought catastrophe to the planet. Half a century after, the substance came back, what would you do now, players?

  • Armored Core 6 would have mission-based gameplay, with “three-dimensional fast-paced missions”, specifically. While the game focuses on mechs, it gives freedom to its players to assemble their own mech. Players can also enjoy the massive 3D environment to freely move when doing all the tasks.

  • Utilize combat, from ranged to melee, and defeat your enemies! Use dynamic moves to complete missions and overpower difficult situations you face. Prepare to encounter bosses in the game too! We can expect more news about the story and gameplay as we near the release date of Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon.

Certainly, the developers and publishers made sure that gamers from multiple platforms can enjoy the upcoming action, mech game, Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon. Players can use their PC, and consoles such as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and S.
