In the recent God of War Ragnarok, quests after ending the main storyline were still available. Hence, a different ending came for gamers who chose to finish all the main and side quests. This 2023, Motive Studio and Electronic Arts dropped the Dead Space Remake, and apparently, there’s a secret ending. Secret Ending in Dead Space Remake
If you’ve been a fan of Dead Space, you would probably be in awe of this ending. The developers have perfectly tied the Remake to Dead Space 2, and we are not complaining.
- As early as now, we tell you that it needs an amount of effort to unlock it. We do not discourage you, but we just want to remind you that patience and determination are needed to complete it!
How to unlock
You have to finish the whole campaign first before you can find an alternative ending. If you managed to complete the game on any difficulty, then you’re good to go. A new challenge starts here now.
New Game Plus
- Once finished, a New Game Plus unlocks. This addition would make you go back into the game, but of course, with everything you want and need to bring. Carry your weapons, the suits, upgrades, and whatever you want into the New Game Plus.
Collect fragments
- Now, we’re back in the game. To unlock the secret ending of Dead Space Remake, you’ll have to explore and collect. Yup, you read that right, collect 12 Marker Fragments across the USG Ishimura.
- If you’re planning to collect them while you’re currently finishing the campaign, unfortunately, you can’t do that. These fragments only appear when you’re in the New Game Plus mode, so good luck!
- Just a tip for you, players, you can find a fragment in each of the chapters. However, in Chapter 5, you can find two!
Drop the fragments off
- When you successfully collect all the fragments, head to the Crew Quarters. Go up to the third floor and reach Captain B. Mathius’ Quarters.
- It’s kind of creepy once you enter the quarters though, a shrine can be seen. Candles are placed in a circle, and here’s where you’ll put the Marker Fragments.
- Significantly, when you’re done, you may hear whispers around you. This signifies that the quest has been completed, so congratulations, players.
Game finishes
- Since Chapter 5 holds two fragments, you can find the 12th fragment in Chapter 11. Don’t worry, you’ll have a chapter and a half to finish the game.
- Complete the New Game Plus, and the cutscene appears on your screen. Now, you’ll get more of Isaac’s journey, and it ties Dead Space to its sequel, Dead Space 2.
